Artist E.P. Lewandowski
E.P. Lewandowski is a professional artist from the United States who specializes in colored pencil studies of North American subjects and settings. Recognized as a contemporary realist, his approach to nature, landscapes, and waterscapes is unique in style, meticulously rendered in detail, and visually appealing in form, content, and composition. His award-winning waterscape images depicting slowly moving stream currents, quiet river pools, bubbling brooks, cascading waterfalls, and shoreline settings perfectly illustrate his ability to create the illusion of a speck of time, measure of space, and fluid movement with a subject that is in constant motion.
He is a member of the prestigious INTERNATIONAL Guild of Realism, Colored Pencil Society of AMERICA, and the Colored Pencil Society of America - U.S. District 104. His drawing "Falling Water IX" was recently selected for the Colored Pencil Society of America Great Explorations Award for Exceptional Achievement in the Explore This! 8 Exhibition 2012. He is a graduate of the Fine Arts Department of Central Michigan University and a former M.F.A. student at Eastern Michigan University.
Lewandowski is represented nationally by the Robert Paul Galleries of Stowe, Vermont, the Haynes Galleries of Maine and Tennessee, and the Fredericksburg Good Art Company Art Gallery of Fredericksburg, Texas. In Michigan his artwork is available at Artworks Gallery of Big Rapids, at eight additional galleries throughout the state, and on the web at www.erwinplewandowski.com.
The artist and his wife, Mary, reside in a home they designed and constructed along the shoreline of Lake Huron in Northern Michigan.
