Artworks is a non-profit organization for the humanities and the arts located in Big Rapids, Michigan. Its mission is to initiate and support humanities and arts activities that enrich our lives, nurture our creative effort and vitalize the community. Below are the ongoing programs and activities currently supported by Artworks. Click the respective link for additional information regarding a specific program or activity.

- Gallery
- The Artworks Gallery is a fine art gallery that provides monthly and seasonal art exhibits.
- Gift Shop
- The Artworks Gift Shop, which is located in the Gallery, providss a place where local artists sell their artwork on consignment.
- Underground Dance Studio
- The Underground Dance Studio offers classes in ballroom, ballet, jazz, and other dances by qualified, certified, and experienced dance instructors.
- Art and Leisure Classes
- Artworks classes offer creative outlets in art and leisure crafts for persons of all ages and skills. Classes include walk-in demonstrations, children's workshops, and beginning and advanced art classes.
- Community Pottery Studio
- Offers the community the opportunity to pursue interests otherwise out of reach. Various subscription plans and kiln service are also available.
- Art Attack
- Students from area school districts display their artwork at the Artworks gallery in March each year.
- Festival of the Arts
- Foreign Film Series
- International films are screened and discussions of the films are held before and after each screening.
- Music at Pocket Park
- One Book Presentations
- Art Enriching Activities
- For special populations in Mecosta and Osceola County: serving New Journey, Transitions, and Hope Network in Big Rapids, Community Mental Health and Eagle’s Nest in Reed City, serving over 250 individuals annually.
- Riverdays
- Presentations of outside music, and demonstrations of homestead Arts at Artworks
- Speakers Bureau
- Presentations and performances serving the community.
- Up and Down the River
- Fifty weekly Pioneer articles each year by local writers.
- Celebration of Local Authors
- An annual event featuring over 30 writers presenting to 200 guests.
- Traveling Displays
- Traveling exhibits featuring historical, and cultural themes available to all Osceola and Mecosta County communities.
- Art Kits
- Art enrichment including materials videos, books, prints and activities in 12 kits. covering a variety of topics. Free on loan to families and organizations.
- Video Library
- A History of Oil and Gas in Mecosta and Osceola Counties and a History of the Nisbett-Fairman Buildings are available for purchase.
- Library Outreach
- Fifteen libraries in 4 counties are served with author visitations, book discussions, and nature-related presentations.
- Walking Tours
- Self touring packages currently include FSU’s Artwalk; Riverwalk, Arborwalk of historic homes, City Tree Walk, Plaques and Sculptures on the Landscape, Recorded Firsts of Mecosta County, and A Walk through History.
- Patron of the Arts Awards
- An award of $100 is to given annually to an art student from each of Big Rapids, Chippewa Hills, Crossroads, Reed City, Evart, and Morley–Stanwood high schools.
